Welcome to the VSC Veterinary Education Symposium (VetEd) 2019!

The annual VSC Veterinary Education Symposium was established by a group of enthusiastic veterinary educators working in vet schools in the UK and Dublin. The symposium takes place over two days during the summer. It rotates around the schools and aims to be an engaging way for veterinary educators to share ideas and innovations for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate vets and allied professionals.

The symposium has a friendly and inviting atmosphere in which to share ideas, innovations, research and best practice in veterinary education. Invited keynote speakers are intended to be informative and stimulating. We invite short communications, posters and workshops. Posters are also being displayed throughout the conference. Workshops are intended to be interactive and cover a wide variety of topics. Networking opportunities are emphasised. The symposium welcomes a wide range of delegates including veterinary educationalists, clinicians, academics, veterinary students, practitioners and researchers from across the globe!

In 2019, the VetEd Symposium will be organised by a committee and members of the Lifelong Independent Veterinary Education (LIVE) centre at the Royal Veterinary College, UK, will play a major role. The conference will be hosted at Rothamsted Research in their purpose-built conference centre.
